I am a wife of almost 42 years, mother, grandmother, homeowner of a 100 year old house. We remodeled our kitchen a while back and accepted the help of someone who we thought knew how to lay ceramic tiles on our counter top. I had such incredible visions of what all my ideals would look like. Everything turned out great except for the ceremic countertops. The grout line is way too wide. I didn't stand my ground about that and my husband was no help. I should have thrown a temper and stormed out with, "I will not like it if the grout is too wide. Fix it." Make sure if you have a "helper" they do it your way. It's your house. It's your kitchen. I love it that I have black ceramic tile countertops instead of that sad blue worn out formica, but "I HATE THE WIDE GROUT LINES". Thanks. I needed that.
