About Me
I can be way too frugal sometimes (OK call me cheap but I do like things to look expensive, luxurious, even custom made. That's the artist in me, but I needed to make a living so finance won out.
Channeling my creative tendencies into many different homes I've lived in gave me a great outlet, as well as a sense of satisfaction knowing I did it myself. Over the years, I replaced making jewelry and sculpture with sewing my own window treatments, faux painting, refinishing furniture, and trying my hand at Venetian plaster techniques.
"When one door closes, a window opens" Thanks to the financial meltdown, I am free to pursue my passion, so this year I started my own website. Home-Remodeling-Decorating.com, "where fabulous meets frugal".
