Hello their, I am a disabled woman but I am lucky to have a somewhat understanding husband. I really can't do much because I am limited with my disability so I am the one who is on line looking up ways to do things and to try and find ways to make my projects easier on him. So this site is a god send. Our home was left empty for almost eight years and was raided by thieves and they destroyed home. However we have found the original four rooms have solid wood floors and beadboard walls and ceilings. So we are attempting to use what we have. In the kitchen we cut out Sheetrock and used the beadboard that was their for backsplash. Bee u tee full... And then in the bedroom that is where we found the floor has been damaged by a leaking water heater. So we got hot water heater replaced now the floor the floor is beautiful except for some buckling and black stain. We are down to sanding and now I am going to try and bleach the black out. We will see. I am so happy, that even if we have to paint the floor and then stencil I will be fine cause its still solid wood. Ypeeeeee.so thank you for letting me share. God bless you all
